Export from Bangladesh to Norway
Norway follows EEA food rules but sits outside the EU customs union, so the food paperwork looks European while the customs paperwork does not. Oslo carries most of the South Asian grocery trade.

What a consignment needs to clear
Import notification to Mattilsynet
Consignments are notified to the food authority before arrival. We supply the certificate and consignment detail the notification requires.
Separate customs treatment
Norway is outside the EU customs union, so a separate customs declaration and duty assessment applies even though food rules mirror the EEA.
Phytosanitary certificate
Fresh plant consignments carry a phytosanitary certificate from the Plant Quarantine Wing.
Norwegian labelling
Norwegian-language labelling with origin, lot and storage conditions on retail packs.

How an order into Norway runs
- You send the line list, volume per shipment and the port or airport you clear through.
- We return a quotation with Incoterm, packing, grade and the Norway certificate list within 4–6 working hours.
- Proforma invoice and sales contract are issued; you open the L/C or arrange T/T.
- We pre-fill the data your broker needs for Mattilsynet import notification (EEA rules, non-EU customs) and send it with the pre-shipment photo set.
- Consignment loads, the document set goes to your bank and broker, and you are told the flight or vessel the same day.
