Export logistics from Bangladesh

Perishables from Bangladesh fail in transit far more often than they fail in the field. Our job is the three days between the packhouse and your cold store.

Air freight

Daily uplift from Dhaka on carriers serving the Gulf, Europe and North America. Perishable lines are pre-cooled within four hours of harvest, packed into vented cartons and palletised for direct handover to the airline’s perishable centre. Booking is confirmed before harvest so the fruit is never waiting on a flight.

Reefer sea freight

Frozen fish and shrimp move at −25 °C core in 20-foot and 40-foot reefers out of Chittagong. Fresh produce like potato travels at a controlled positive temperature with ventilation set to the line. Containers are pre-tripped and the set point is photographed at stuffing.

Dry container

Rice, pulses, spices and jute goods ship in dry containers with desiccant and fumigation certification where the destination requires it.

The cold chain, logged

Temperature is recorded at four points: after pre-cooling, at packing, at gate-in and at stuffing or airport handover. Data loggers are placed inside the consignment on request and the readout is released to you on arrival.

Documents that match

Invoice, packing list, certificate references and carton lot codes are generated from one record. The number on the phytosanitary certificate is the number on the carton, which is the single most common reason consignments are held at a border post.

Logistics questions

Which airports and ports do you load from?

Air out of Hazrat Shahjalal International (DAC) in Dhaka, sea out of Chittagong (CGP) and Mongla for reefer and dry containers.

Can you consolidate several products in one shipment?

Yes. Mixed air consignments are built line by line from your pick list. For sea we consolidate compatible temperature regimes into a single reefer.

How is the cold chain proven?

Pulp temperature is recorded at packing, at gate-in and at stuffing or airport handover. The log is attached to the shipping documents.

Who arranges freight, you or the buyer?

Either. On FOB you nominate the forwarder. On CFR, CIF or DAP we book the freight and carry it in the price.
